Start: 8010 Piney Branch rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910 (Spelunkers and Late Nites house)

Hares: Late Nite and Spelunker

Cost: $10 (There will be food)

Details: Trail will be A-A, stroller and dog friendly.

On After and party will follow trail at our house. There will be a keg of Dogfish Namaste. If you get drunk, there will be crash space available.

DCH4 Trail#2061  Leg 1 of the Dumbass Double**

Where: Valley Mill Special Park: E Randolph Rd, Colesville, MD 20904

When: 3PM Saturday, 6/29

Cost: $6

Hare: Crash Test Dumbass

Trail: A-A, Runners & Walkers, dog friendly bring a leash. Treat this as an extension of a BAH3 trail: wet, PI, Shiggy, bugs, webs, mud, etc.

**Butt what duz leg 1 of the Dumbass Double mean??? Nothing unless you are going to BAH3 trail the next day at 3 starting at Crash Test’s Chateau in Catonsville. If you do both then you can get CTD’s patch if you don’t already have it.

TIME: Gather 2:30; HARES AWAY: 3:00 pm

PRELUBE: Mt Vernon starts at 10am from the same location as DCH4, so come on out and make it a full day of hashing. 

START/END: 7233 Parsons Court, Alexandria, VA 22306 (Spitz’s Place)

TRAIL LOCATION: Huntley Meadows Park & Wetland Trails

COST: $10 (There will be food)

BRING: Hash Cash $10 (includes grilled chicken & nonmeat option, salad choices for all of you). Consider bringing a camp chair, clean clothes, bug and sunscreen spray. Wear your favorite TuTu or TwoTwo Shirt, or create something fun (or not) ☺

TRAIL DEETS: You all get TWO trail option: (1) Walker Trail (pedestrian park trail, option for playground and activity center) = 2.5-3 miles. (2) Runner Trail between 4 and 6 miles (shiggy factor = 5 – 7 out of 10). Walker trail = 1 beer check/1 shot check; Runner trail = 2 beer checks / 2 shot checks.

KID / DOG FRIENDLY: Yes (dogs on walker trail must be leashed but NOT allowed on boardwalk portion); Runner dogs fine on trail, keep controlled please. Kids / dogs welcomed at Spitz’s place.

ACCESSIBILITY FACTOR: If coming by car — plenty of parking in this townhome lot. Park in center area and NOT at numbered parking spaces. If coming by Metro or bus – closest is Huntington Metro Station which is the terminus for the Yellow Line. And /or try https://moovitapp.com/ to figure it out. BACKGROUND (for those historic folks): Huntley Meadows dates back to the mid-1700s, when George Mason bought the land that now occupies the park. Over the years it was sold and eventually became property of the federal government, and it was used for top secret communications testing in the 1950s. It also housed anti-aircraft protection for the nation’s capital during that same time. Huntley Meadows is a 1,500-acre park with hiking trails and wetlands that are home to more than 200 species of birds.

Where:  Colmar Manor Community Park – 3510 37th Ave, Colmar Manor, MD 20722

Start location:  There are 4 parking lots in the park. We will meet in the central parking lot, which is located by making a right past the soccer field and will be the first parking lot on the left.

Walkers Trail Description:  A-A’ or A-A, 2+ miles, dog and stroller friendly, no PI likelihood or water crossings

Turkey/Eagle Trail Description:  A-A’ or A-A, 3+ miles for Turkey vs 3.5 for Eagles, Turkey trail is tough dog friendly, expect swamp muck, ankle-deep water crossings, and lots of PI and mosquitos

What: A Memorial-able Frackin’ Trail!

Location: Fort Totten Metro Station, 38.953484, -77.004431 (or just get off the damn train and look for marks!)

Hares: I Shart the 80s and Just Matt

Time: Saturday, May 25, 3:00 PM,

Cost: $6

Details: A-A, Trail is strictly BYOV as there will be no single use cups, straws or Harrietts provided on trail.  Bring ID and extra $ because it is going to be long and hard. Dry bag with clean clothes and deo are requested.

It is going to be hot, hot, hot so dogs are OK but have mercy on the poor buggers and leave them home in the A/C.  Strollers & walkers OK on walker’s trail.

Donkey cart available for bags, dog and pony show for everyone else.

Details: A-A’, runners will have shiggy. Walkers will have less shiggy. Dogs OK on trail (not on-after). Strollers and bum knees probably OK on walkers trail with work-around (talk to the hairs).

By metro: About 1 mile from the Potomac Ave. Metro Station (Blue, Orange, Silver). Cross the Anacostia River on the John Phillip Sousa Bridge and follow the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail north to the pavillion.
