TRAIL: Runner and Walker, A to B.  Bag vehicle provided. (6 min walk to car)
Circle End: across the street from Faire, General’s Highway Corridor Park. Go to Pavilion.                                          THIS IS NOT THE START

Dog Friendly:  on trail & circle only.  Dogs not allowed in Faire.
Stroller Friendly: walker’s trail has a few tough sections.  There is a workaround.
PI: Not much but come prepared

CASH:  Food and beverages are cash only inside the faire and the ATM lines can get very long.
The faire closes at 6:30/7 PM, Last call is 6 PM

The Pub Sing at White Hart Tavern is great!  Get there before 6 PM to find a seat. 

DON’T FORGET A FLASHLIGHT If you stay to the end it will be dark and there were no street lights in King Henry’s day!

GPS: 95% of the time will make you seriously late.  Unless planning to get there at 9, follow the directions below.

From Washington, D.C:

From the east side of beltway…..

East on Rt 50 to EXIT 23, Parole [this is exit for Annapolis Mall]

RIGHT at end of ramp.  Continue straight on Rt 178, General’s Highway. Do NOT turn onto Defense Highway, Rt 450 – you will be stuck in traffic forever, like Anne Boleyn will be queen)

Go past the mall, fair grounds and Ram’s Head Tavern, in less than one mile past tavern, LEFT on Honeysuckle Lane.

LEFT on Crownsville Road.  LEFT into the faire grounds.

If coming in from Rt 450 go past first entrance to second entrance.  This strategically places you nearest the faire entrance (ticket windows) and the trail start….

From Baltimore:

Take I-95 South to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695).
Follow the Beltway South to Exit 4 (Route 3 and I-97 South). Stay left on I-97 South to Annapolis as it splits from Route 3.

Take Exit 5 from I-97 (Route 178 to Crownsville).
Turn right at the third light onto Crownsville Road. (Crownsville State Hospital is at the intersection and you can only turn right.) Follow Crownsville Road for 1-1/2 miles and the Festival entrance is on left.

[OR go past Crownsville Road and continue straight, turn RIGHT on Honeysuckle Lane and as above to avoid traffic]   LEFT on Crownsville Road.  LEFT into the faire grounds.

Park in the lot closest Honeysuckle and the ticket windows.

Start: Ft. Totten Metro In grassy area across from Park n ride lot. (550 Galloway st NE. Washington DC) (FYI, it cost $2 to park at ft. Totten on Saturdays)

Time: 3pm

Details: Everybody draws straws at start. Shortest straw gets honor of being first hare. That person gets a 5 min head start. When that person gets snared the person who snares becomes hare. Eventually after 3 or so miles whoever has flower bag makes their way back to start for end. I will provide the beer, snacks, and flower. All you guys have to do is show up.

DCH4 Trail# 2016 – 8/11 @ 3pm

What: A trail in DC. Starting at Ft. Lincoln Park in Northeast: 3229 Fort Lincoln Dr NE, Washington, DC. If you’re not driving, biking, or walking, your best bet is going to be the B2 bus. Take the stop at Bladensburg Rd and South Dakota Ave NE and walk a few blocks.

When: 8/11 at 3pm.

Hare: Duckbill Cookiepuss, mystery hares?

Cost: $6

Details: A to A. Runners trail likely not stroller friendly, we’ll see what happens. Dogs should be OK.

Start: The cul-de-sac at the end of Lakehaven Court, Fairfax Station, VA. Turn on to Lakehaven Lane from Burke Lake Rd, just south of intersection with Fairfax County Parkway. Use address 10119 Lakehaven Ct if you are relying on GPS navigation.

When: 8/4 @ 3pm

Hare: Dr. Strangelove and possibly others

Cost: $6

Details: A to A. Runner’s trail will feature a shot check at an old abandoned still way back in the woods.
Dogs fine, but must be on leash on part of the trail.

DCH4 Trail# 2014 – 7/28 @ 3pm

This is a double header for BAH3 Full Moon starting at 7pm. The start of the full moon is only a few miles from DCH4 start. So come on out to the full moon trail prelude.

Start: University Hills Duck Pond Park – 3400 Stanford St Hyattsville, MD 20783

Hares: Ass Spelunker and Late Nite Drive Thru

Time: 3pm

Cost: $6

Details: Walkers and runners trail is A-A, and dog friendly. Runners trail is not stroller friendly. Walkers trail – not quite sure. Bring ivy block / Shiggy socks and dry bag.

On-After/Full Moon Pre-Lube: Looney’s Pub – 8150 Baltimore Ave College Park, MD 20740. BAH3 will be hosting the Full moon hash at College Park metro parking lot at 7pm. Looney’s pub is only one mile from the full moon start.

On-After Parking: Park in south-east corner of Lot 11b on the University of Maryland campus (coordinates: 38.993362, -76.935504). There is a pedestrian bridge and trail that allows you to cross Paint Branch and shortcut to Baltimore Ave.

Start: Clyde’s Parking Lot. 1700 N Beauregard St, Alexandria, VA 22311

Directions: I395 North or South to the Seminary Road Exit, exit 4. Take a left on Beauregard Street. Take a right onto Highview to get to the parking lot behind Clydes. Look for wankers milling about.

Metro: Closest Metro is Van Dorn. Many different ways but it seems Pentagon Station (Blue/Yellow lines) then Metrobus 7A are the best bet.

Trail Deets:
Bring water wings cuz this is gonna be a wet one! Even walkers have water crossings! A to A (or A’). Dog friendly, not stroller friendly. Tour phone 703-678-3640

Start Location: Spelunker’s and Late Nites House (8010 Piney Branch Rd. Silver Spring, MD 20910)

Time: 3:00pm

Hares: Late Nite Drive Thru and Ass Spelunker

Cost: $9

Metro: Closest Metro is Takoma (one mile from our house). Silver Spring metro is about 1.5 miles.

Details: Tail is A-A, and will be relatively short. We don’t plan on going through water, but I would bring a dry bag just Incase.  There will be one shot check and one Beer check. Pervarotti has gratuitously volunteered his services to help grill. We plan on grilling some chicken and veggies. We will also have a few sides to eat with the chicken and there will be cake and ice cream. There will be a keg of Dogfish 60 min and Natty Boh for the lighter drinkers. Crash space is availabe to all if needed. (We have lots of room)

Pre-Lube: Late Nite and Spelunker’s. If you want an early start, you can show up at noon if you want. If we’re not there, we’re probably laying trail. Grab a seat and have a beer. The back door will be unlocked.
