Why: Because it’s not Lake F’ing Needwood
Hares: Standard Deviant and Pervarotti
Trail is A to A. Dog friendly. Several runner/walker splits with walker trail probably under 3 miles.

SAFETY NOTE: park police hang out in parking lot so be discrete. We will give you at least one Beer/Shot Check on trail.

Where: Martin Luther King Jr Recreational Park, Jackson Rd, White Oak/Silver Spring MD (parking lot next to tennis courts)
Walkers – 3 miles, trails & flat shiggy
Runners – an Extra Creamy runners loop!
Cost: $0 – BYO everything
Hares: Pervarotti and Extra Creamy Dog Crap

From DC Beltway, exit 28A on MD-650/New Hampshire Ave North.
After 3 miles, right on Jackson Rd.
0.7 miles to parking lot on the right, just before the tennis courts (just after the MLK Swim Center).
From Rte 29, north on New Hampshire Ave for 0.9 miles, right on Jackson Rd, then 0.7 miles to parking lot on the right, just before the tennis courts (just after the MLK Swim Center).

Listen up half minds, with a new year cums a new calendar (funny how that works). As of today (1/10/21) we have zero hares for all of 2021. If you would like to hare in this new and hopefully better year then 2020. Please sign up to hare, or there will be no trail. Theme: The Post-Holidays “I need to start getting my @$$ in gear” trail (aka The Anti-12 DDs of Hashmas)

Where:  Nolte Local Park – 200 Denver Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20910

Start directions:  Trail will start leading west on the paved trail that starts where the parking lot ends

Hares:  Late Nite Drive Thru & Ass Spelunker

How Much: $0

Trail Description:  A-A, expect hills on both trails, 1 shot stop at our house, it will be warm out but we might have a fire if we replenish our firewood by then; Runners: 4.5 – 5 miles, shiggy rating – 1-2, Walkers: 3.5 miles, stroller friendly

When: Sat/Sun Dec 26th/27th (possible trail on 25th if weather allows). Trail will be ready by Saturday 10am for wankers but to really enjoy the holiday lights, sunsets at 453PM! IF we have trail for Friday, it will be after sunset only!
Cost: $0, BYOB. Santa will have goodies after sunset only.
Other Deets: Virginia limits gathering to no more than 10. Wear a face covering. There will be runner, walker, and stroller/holiday light trail. Come dressed as your favorite misfit toy, wear a ugly sweater or holiday gear. Doing trail after sunset is highly encouraged as there will be special visits from the holiday “spirits” of Christmas past, present and future. Not making any promises they will be out during the day.
Directions: From anyway take I495 to Van Dorn Street exit South. Take a right onto Franconia Road. Left onto Em Street. Park on one side only of Em Street. If parking is limited, go back to Franconia Road, take first right onto Villa and park there. Metro is not running on weekends, don’t try.

WHERE: John Lyon VFW 3150, 2116 19th St N, Arlington, VA 22201 parking lot (opens @ 11:30)

HARE: Buck Naked Brawler

START: Leave the parking lot and take left down the sidewalk on 19th St to pick up your first trail marks.

PARK: Park on the street, leave VFW members to park in the parking lot

TIME: Anytime after 12pm and the beer hall inside and outside will be open at 2pm for social distancing $2 beers. The VFW doesn’t open till 11:30.

DEETS: Escape social media and join for this trail. Will have walker/stroller friendly trail and shiggy/runner trail. Grill available and can order pizza again!

WHERE: John Lyon VFW 3150, 2116 19th St N, Arlington, VA 22201 parking lot

START: Leave the parking lot and take left down the sidewalk on 19th St to pick up your first trail marks.
PARK: Park on the street, leave VFW members to park in the parking lot (we are packing Christmas meals for needy soldier families also on Saturday)
TIME: Trail will be ready anytime after 12pm and the beer hall inside and outside will be open at 2pm for social distancing $2 beers in 65/ sunny weather
DEETS: Escape social media and join for this anniversary trail. Will have walker/stroller friendly trail and shiggy/runner trail; runners trail approximately 4 miles. Grill available and ready at 2pm.

Start: 6400 Beulah Street Alexandria VA 22310 – Back of parking lot by the picnic tables
Theme : Pay Per View turns 25!!!   Party like it’s 1995!
Time: by 10am on Saturday, Nov 14 through Sunday, Nov 15.  (Possible start time on Friday 11/13 if weather permits – watch this space)
Cost: $0, BYOB but there will be a beer check during certain hours  during the weekend
Getting there:
Driving: From I495, take Van Dorn Street Exit.  Go south on Van Dorn Street.  Take a right on Franconia Road.  Left on Beulah Street.  Look for “Alexandria Braces”  just past the Franconia Fire Station.  Turn into that parking lot.
Metro:  Franconia/Springfield and FFX Connector Bus 310. Or go to Van Dorn Street and walk/uber to start location.  Both on blue line.
Trail Deets: Pay Per View turns 25!!!!   Not only is it her b-day (she’s much older than 25, btw), it’s the 25th anniversary of her naming.  Runners trail will be about 4.5-5 miles, Walkers 2.5-3.   BYOB and snacks but there will be a beer check set out during certain times of the day.  DCH4 Zoom Circle followed by a dance party later in the evening.  All November babies welcome to attend.  We’re gonna party like it’s 1995!  90s dance party!

HASH: Cheese Jizz Turkeyble(Its terrible like turkey) Birthday Trail

WHERE: Turkey Run Loop Rd, McLean, VA 22101. Its the first parking lot. Think its C-1.
TIME: Anytime after 12pm.
DEETS: Escape social media and join us for my birthday trail. Not stroller friendly but dog friendly. About 4 miles. Going to have drinks from costco. Maybe a grill.

Theme: Autumn leaves with a Blue mOOn, perhaps wear favorite blue attire
Cost: $0.00 US (this is an iso-hash; buy yourself a six-pack to bring on trail or keep in your trick-or-treat bag for afterwards).
Trail info: A to A, Hares away – Long before you do trail, trail will be completed by about 12pm on Saturday; Pack away – Any time after the hares tell you that trail is marked; Length: Eagle- 7.25 Miles, Turkey- 6 Miles, Penguin – 3.5 Miles; Shiggy Rating: (1=None to 10=Jungle Bushwacking) Eagle – 5 (one water crossings, lots of hill climbing and minor shiggy), Turkey – 4 (lots of hill climbing and minor shiggy), Penguin – 3 (lots of hill climbing and minor shiggy); Dog Friendly: Eagle – really tough dogs only..this is a tough long trail, Turkey – yes, if strong dog, Penguin – all doggos welcome; Stroller Friendly: Eagle – No, Turkey – Maybe, Penguin – Yep

Parking: There’s plenty of parking in the lot, and its free!!
Other Details: It is Halloween, but not only that if you look up in the sky at night you see that its another full moon. You know what that means, another Full mOOn H3 trail!! This month’s Full mOOn trail is hosted by Hangover Hash House Harriers. The year 2020 has been so lucky so far, so let’s keep that luck going. Details below: This is the second Full mOOn for October, which makes it one of the rare blue moons. Even more rare is that there are 13 full mOOn’s this year, and you know 13 is such a lucky number. There are hills, rocks, hills, roots, hills, beautiful fall colors, and did we mention there might be some hills? Bring yourself to the trail, but leave your soul behind.. or perhaps one of those cute miniature pumpkins which the hares ask you to leave in random spots on trail, perhaps with a carving made into it.
The hares also recommend everyone bring a face mask on trail, there are several spots where you’d be expected to cross path with others, and its halloween for after all.
