Start: Southern Regional Technology and Recreation Complex (7007 Bock Rd, Fort Washington, MD 20744)

Hares: PITA

Cost: $7

Start Time: 10am (if you wanna watch the game 12:30pm (trail starts)

Details: We are supporting Lickity’s (Heather Wilkinson’s) friend who plays for Maryland Mayhem.
Maryland Mayhem is a wheelchair rugby team from Baltimore! They have 3 games for their tournament which starts at 10am (vs Raleigh). It is 10am – 12.
Heather/Lickity is friends with one of the players and hoping to get a sizable group together.
This is free!!
Trail to follow! BYO start beverage then pack away at 12:30pm

DCH4 Trail# 2175 – 2/4/23 @ 2pm

Start Directions:  cul-de-sac at the end of Pickett Rd in Fairfax, VA. The landmark is Robert Frost Middle School.
Hash cash: $7
Hare: Doc Strangelove
Mild shiggy, if ground frozen then mud no problem.   Should be able to stay dry on water crossings unless you’re clumsy, stupid, or both.  Dogs ok, but should be on leash for parts of the trail.   ATV strollers ok except for a couple of critical points where having an assistant to help carry stroller would be prudent.
Length: 3-ish for runners, 2-ish for walkers

Parking at start: There is no parking directly in front of our house. Please utilize neighborhood streets – free parking 24/7.

We need new mismanagement! sign up to reinvigorate this hash.
Hash Cash: Trail cost will be $6 if you bring a dish to share and $10 if you do not.
Order of events:
#1 – Trail
Trail will be on the short side since I will be haring by my lonesome since Spelunker is still hobbling along. Expect trail to not exceed 2.5 miles for runners and walkers. Trail will be stroller/dog friendly. We do have an elderly dog in residence.
#2 – Potluck
I plan to roast a turkey and make gluten free stuffing (from a box). I will also have plates, utensils & napkins and hash snacks.
#3 – Annual General Meeting & Circle
positions needed at minimum:

RAs (please select someone other than Spelunker!) – multiple

#4 – White Elephant (optional participation)
Bring a gift, share a gift. Beer, wine, spirits always make good gifts. if you have items you want to regift, those work too, but stay away from items that are in bad condition or are size specific. Do not spend more than $25.

House is on the corner of East Bexhill and Old Spring Rd with a big waterfall down the side.

Metro: Forest Glen (1 mile to start- text if you need pick up #301-412-3215)

Metro update: There will be no trains between Glenmont and Fort Totten. Stations that are closed are Glenmont, Wheaton, Forest Glen, Silver Spring, and Takoma. Free shuttle busses will be provided.

What: celebrating 11 years of hashing!

On a dating site, read between the slime reminded me of hashing. I had an article about it on my bulletin board for years. I looked it up & was confused because I thought I had to be “under 25″. I made a teacher friend go with me (she never returned). It was a blustery full moon trail hared by under 25 to ride starting at white flint metro. There were 11 shots. At the on after at Hank deidels a guy called me ” the drunkest person he’d ever seen.” And I was hooked! Cum celebrate!
