This is part two of the hashing fun in the Harper’s Ferry, WV area. (Part one is MVH3 trail and lunch. Those deets at the bottom.)

Hashers who enjoy some fun on foot followed by fun floating downstream in the Shenandoah!
Where:
Bare Bottom, WV
When: sign in at 2:30, pack away at 3:00 pm
Hares: Read Between the Slime, Late Night Drive Through, Ass Spelunker
Costs:
$10 hash cash gets you beverages and post-trail meal (Slime’s Chili and Baked Potato Bar)
Optional Costs:
Inner tube bulk prices are $15-$19 each (depending on quantity). There is a shipping lag. If you want one bought for you tell Slime before 18 May). Some might be available in small quantities at Walmart (last year they sold out a few days before the weekend).

River safety deets:
PFDs: Ensure you have a plan to have one you can use. I have a few personal flotation devices but not enough for everyone (please bring yours and offer to share spares with others).
Foot protection:
The river bottom and banks have sharp rocks and other sharp stuff. You must wear foot protection (flip flops do not count!).
River fun deets:
Bring your own inner tube, kayak, SUP, canoe, fishing gear, floating coolers.
Non-river fun:
11+ miles of hiking trails, paved paths for biking or blading, fun yard games, Appalachian Trail vistas.
Getting there:
The trail start location
(1648 Patriots Way
Harper’s Ferry WV)
is about 30 minutes South of the MVH3 trail.
That event should wrap up between 1:45-2:00 pm. That gives folks 30-45 minutes to get to this trail just in time for sign in!
Camping deets:
Tents and RVs welcome.
You’re welcome to arrive Friday and stay through Sunday (around noon) or just come for the Saturday fun. (There is potential that folks could stay through Monday but that is TBD).
Port-o-potty on site, propane grills available.
No water or electric hook ups.
Sunset is at 8:20 pm so there should be time to set up tent after the DCH4 hash dinner.
Kids are welcome on the trail/float.
Parents should monitor kids’ proximity to end circle.
